Ich habe eine Rekord 2 Tür von 1967 gekauft und sie ist auf dem Weg von Deutschland in die USA.
Meine Hauptfrage ist; Meine Fahrzeugidentifikationsnummer lautet 113921596. Ich wollte wissen, ob es sich um einen Standard-1700 (48-kW-Motor) oder einen 1700S (55-kW-Motor) handelt. Was ist der visuelle Unterschied (falls vorhanden)? Sie können feststellen, ob es sich um 1700 oder 1700S handelt.


I bought a 1967 Rekord 2 door and it's on it's way from Germany to USA.
My main question is; My vehicle identification number is 113921596. Wanted to know if this is a standard 1700 (48KW engine) or the 1700S (55KW engine). Also, what is the visual difference (if any) you can tell if it is 1700 or 1700S.

Also der 1700S hat das auf dem Motorblock gekennzeichnet mit 17S und der Vergaser ist ein anderer wie beim N .

Where on the engine block I will find the 17S marking? Also, what did you mean by "und der Vergaser ist ein anderer wie beim N ". What is N?

Finally, the TUV report shows that it is a 55KW engine. Is that something that is typically accurate?

Mein Auto ist angekommen und es ist ein 1700er.

Ein paar Fragen;

1) Anstelle der Drossel befindet sich dieses Kabel / diese Kette mit einem Griff am Ende. Ich folgte ihm zum Motorraum und es geht zu einem Mechanismus unter dem Kühler. Wofür ist das genau?
2) Ich habe 2 Löcher in den Rücksitzverkleidungen gefunden. Mein Auto ist ein Zweitürer. Sollen diese Löcher dort sein?
3) Wie stellen Sie den Leerlauf des Autos ein?

My car arrived and it is a 1700S.

Couple of questions;

1) Instead of the choke there is this cable/chain with a handle at the end. I followed it to the engine compartment and it goes to a mechanism below the radiator. What is this for exactly?
2) I found 2 holes in the back seat panels. My car is a 2 door. Are these holes suppose to be there?
3) How do you adjust the idle of the car?
