Re: Polnische Opel Commodore/Rekord Forum
und siehe ciekawostka.Poznajecie mein Auto?

Re: Polnische Opel Commodore/Rekord Forum
Excuse my previous post, it lacked a bit of informations
I'll try to write english, as it might be easier to
use automatic translator (for You) and to write (for me)
The connection between these cars isn't 100% clear. Some time ago, while browsing Opel pages on the web, I
entered the page (http://www.steinmetz-opel.de/) where few photos have cought my eye.

this is what I've bought:

The look appeared to be so familiar, that I knew that this must've been my Commodore before the crash.
Uncommon damages done to the car by the crash (flattened roof), its state that when I bought it and similarity
to above photos could mean that this is THE CAR
. I've sent a mail to website owner, but unfortunately never
received any reply so I'm not sure that the car I own is exactly the same car as on above photo - I'll leave the
judgement to You.
Being true fan of old Opels I'm interested not only in the car itself, but everything related to it too
(including its history). What is most interesting in this story is that a car impossible to be
restored (bought from the scrap) with a history impossible to be tracked back (try to track back history of
a car on the scrap, where it stayed for years and noone knows anything about it) - will be brought back
to perfect condition soon and will appear on the road again!
Additionally (hopefully, not confirmed
) I
know the car's history, and knowing it was my dream for a looong time

Re: Polnische Opel Commodore/Rekord Forum
Good Morning mariano !
First of all - where in World are you and the Car Today ? -
With the Car - everything Starts with the VIN , Fahrgestellnummer - the front Section is gone so could you Identity any Serial numbers from transmission or rear end differential ? could be that your Car was an Steinmetz Car or just an standard Commodore pimped with flared Fenders. Could be that somebody Cut out the Front section and VIN and used it in A better Chassis ? did you check if there is a limited-Slip differential still in Place ?
the Design of paint looks very 80s - but a race/rallye Car with Vinyl-roof ?
also somebody removed the flared Fender parts One Day ...to do what ?
Can you Read the Serial Number of the engine?
If we spread the word and pictures around somebody will remember that Car or any history - i am curious
Cheers

Das ist doch der Wagen von Commocruiser, vor bzw. direkt nach dem Unfall.
Da hat wohl jemand das ausgeschlachtete Gerippe vom Schrott geholt, und jetzt gibts den Commo doppelt
