Vented brakes on Rekord C?

Hi guys!

I have a '69 Rekord C coupe with 4 stud hubs but need to change them to 5 stud, I cant swap the whole axles like you guys do because there are none in this country and it would cost me hundreds to get some over here.

What i want to know is what other models I can swap hub carriers with to make it 5 stud, aswell as needing 5 stud hubs i need vented discs with calipers to suit, what car can i take all this from to fit onto my Rekord axles?

Commo A-B?
Manta A-B?
Diplomat B?

in my opinion there are no problems to do it with commo a ones
i dont realy know if it works with the commo b.

If i fit Commodore A hub carriers to my rekord what vented disc set up could i use?

Also does anyone on here have a set of front and rear commo A hub carriers i could buy?

there never was a vented brake on the commodore a.

all conversions use the Diplomat B/Commodore B or Monza A/Commodore C hubs.

and as far as i know you will need the commodore A axle leg to fit the hubs on. they wont fit on the rekord axle. the next problem ist, that the axle leg of the commodore wont fit on the rekord axle, since the upper suspension arm is connected to the axle body in an different height.

similar problem on the rear axle. the half shafts of the commodore will not fit in the rekord axle body. And the rekord axle will never take much more torque than the original 19S outputs.

overall you should really try to get commodore axles. even if they cost you more in the first place, you avoid a lot of problems with brakes, hubs and torque.

Oh great! Lol. ok how much do a set of axles usually cost over there? And if i fit commodore axles will i be able to fit vented discs and calipers on to it from a diplomatic, b or commo monza? Thanks.

vented discs and calipers will fit the commodore axle. but you need the hub from the donator vehicle too.

commo A axles

Commo B vented discs.....

That should work?
