I did mine with volvo 240 calipers and honda prelude discs.
You need to make some room on the upper control arm, and the calipers need to be milled down 2 mm.

And on the rear i am using astra calipers on bmw discs (with a hydraulic handbrake)

My name is kikobot, i am from france ( center of the country, Limousin), i drive old cars since many years : many classic minis and many mercedes from the sixties, this is my first opel and i am in love with rekord c fastback and manta A

I bought last year a 69' rekord c coupe , 1700 s, i have spent the first year to remove some rust, welded some metal sheets ,rebuild the brakes and front and rear arms, and working to restart the original engine

As i love low cars , i have lowered the coupe with KAW springs, bilstein and spax short shocks ( thanks to the guys on this site for the infos )

My new plan is to put an omega A or B engine in my car with the omega box, ecu etc so i will buy an entire omega as soon as possible ( next month)

At the end , the car will be painted with a gold or green metallic from the 70's, original steel wheels painted in black!!

Because of the new engine, i would like big brakes, so if you have SAFE configurations, pictures , links to websites, it would be great

Mein Name ist kikobot, ich bin von Frankreich (Zentrum des Landes, Limousin), ich treibe alte Autos seit vielen Jahren: viele klassische minis und vieler Mercedes von den sechziger Jahren ist das mein erster opel, und ich bin in rekord c Fließheck und Manta A verliebt

Ich kaufte im letzten Jahr 69 ' rekord c Coupé, 1700 s, ich habe das erste Jahr verbracht(ausgegeben), um einen Rost zu entfernen, schwiß einige metallene Bettücher, die Bremsen und hintere Vorderarme wieder aufbauen(umbauen), und arbeitend, um den ursprünglichen Motor wiederanzufangen

Wie ich niedrige Autos liebe, habe ich das Coupé mit KAW Frühlingen, bilstein und spax kurzen Stößen (dank der Kerle auf dieser Seite(Lage) für die Infos gesenkt;))

Mein neuer Plan ist, ein Omega Ein oder B Motor in meinem Auto mit dem Omega-Kasten, ECU etc. zu stellen, so dass ich ein vollkommenes(komplettes) Omega als bald kaufen werde


Am Ende wird das Auto mit einem Gold oder grün metallisch von den 70er Jahren, ursprüngliche Stahlräder gemalt in schwarz gemalt!!

Wegen des neuen Motors möchte ich große Bremsen, so, wenn Sie SICHERE Konfigurationen, Bilder, Verbindungen zu Websites haben, würde das groß sein

Hallo, ich bin grade mit unserem französischen Opel Freund auf der Suche nach einer geeigneten Bremse für seinen Rekord.
Er soll dann ca. 136 PS bekommen.
Die 4 Kolben BMW Bremse wird wohl etwas teuer.
Deshalb meine Idee die originalen Sätten zu verbreitern und innenbelüftete Scheiben zu verbauen.
Kann mir einer sagen bis zu wieviel PS diese Kombi verträgt,bzw bremst?
