Hallo Leute!
Welcome!
I'm sorry, but I'm going to write in english, because my German is very bad unfortunately :/
Me and my friend, have recently buyed Opel Rekord from 1968, in Sprint version. As far as I know it is very rare 4-door version. I'm looking for any infos about this model, manuals and parts .

We are also looking for some photos of this specified model , because it is hard to find ANY on the internet.
Also we are very curious, what is missing / is not original in our car - maybe somebody could give us advice on this subject :)

Bitte, schreiben Sie auch in Deutsch, ich kenne ein bisschen diese Sprache :)

Vielen Dank fur Deine Antworte

where are you from? from a german perspective it seems that your new car already passed away...

for more info (not sprint specific) check this site (owned by the most maniac mechanic throughout germany)

http://www.graf-vlad.de/inhalt/alte_kisten.html

good luck anyhow

Hi and welcome :)

Interessting Car, could you make a better picture of the engine?!
The Sprint Engine should have 2 double Carburetors, Engine Number starts with 19H

You can get some Sprint specific informations from Vlads Site:
http://www.graf-vlad.de/inhalt/alte_kis ... coupe.html

Your Grill is from a Opel Commodore A and instead of the "1900" there has to be the "Sprint" lettering on your trunk.

Here is another site, where you can download a Article from Graf Vlad about the Sprint with many pictures
http://www.alt-opel.eu/index.php?sn=clubzeitung06

If it's really a 4 Door Sprint, it would worth it to bring it back on the street :)

Hey there ;) Yep, it's very interesting ;-)

Thanks for the info about the grill.

The engine is unfortunately not original according to previous owner ;/ We didn't check the numbers on it yet.
When we are going to check it, I'll write here as soon as possible.

I hope it's a 4-door sprint, as far as i know it is quite rare nowadays :D

EDIT; another thing! I have papers from year 1990 - it says that in this car is an engine numbered; 19HL0004496

I'm from Poland ;-) From our polish perspective, Rekord needs some help, and it will fly again ;-) It sure is dead now ;)

Never rekor emblems :/

After stripping the paint in some places we got to this, that the car used to be silver probably at the beggining. On the back, we found the black paint <as in Sprint>. No stripes on the car thoug - could anybody write if the stripes were painted, or these were some kind of stickers <I'm talking about the two black Sprint stripes going through the whole car>
